A Low tracking through the Southern NWT will clip North Eastern BC today and will stir thing up a bit...There is currently a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in place for Fort Nelson. Dewpoints are relatively high in the region today. This combined with some daytime heating and a significantly strong NW flow aloft is the recipe for the development of thunderstorms, possibly with large hail and gusty winds.
The Central Interior will remain dry and seasonably warm, while the the extreme South East may receive a brief shower of rain this evening. This will mark the start of a shift away from this stretch of dry weather for all of Southern BC. By Thursday evening, a more defined system will track into the South via Washington and bring rain for Friday and into the weekend.
