Low 30's again by midweek for the S. Interior

An unstable weekend with afternoon thunderstorms in the Southern Interior has led to a number of new wild fires. The threat of new wild fires continues today with possible thundershowers for all inland sections, with severe thunderstorm watches in place for the Central Interior and the Kootenay areas.

An upper low off the BC/Washington coast will keep an unstable flow in the forecast for the BC Interior today.  As the upper low shifts northward and weaken, an upper ridge will push up from the South to keep temps above average this week, with the warmest temps midweek for most of the BC interior.

Meanwhile, another low will influence the coastal sections over the next few days - details on the coast portion of the blog.
