Back to the grind.. but.. at least there's some sunshine!
After a stormy weekend for sections of the Southern Interior, the weather will stabilize in parts of the region today as an upper ridge sticks around over the southern half of BC the next few days. Areas north and east of the Okanagan Valley will continue to see a slight chance of a shower or thundershower today, but any storms today are not expected to be severe. This ridge will also keep temps up into the low 30's over the next few days.
A shortwave trough rolls through the Central Interior bringing a few showers and thundershowers to the area today. The trough lifts by Wednesday bringing drier weather to the area.
Over to the northern interior - an upper low over the northeastern corner Manitoba will keep an unstable flow to the north eastern parts of BC. The BC Peace and the Fort Nelson area will see the chance of afternoon showers or thundershowers. Both of these areas are currently under a severe thunderstorm watch.
