The weather this Labour Day Weekend couldn't have been any better for the southern BC Interior; Lytton was the warmest place in Canada yesterday with a high of 34.7C. It's "back to life...back to reality" this evening with a risk of showers and thundershowers. Closed Low off the Washington / Oregon coast, that brought rain and an isolated thundershower to the Vancouver area this morning, will help created the necessary instability to bring the same for the interior this afternoon. Daytime heating, southerly moisture flow and cooler air aloft will be the recipe, so if you're out enjoying the warm sunny weather early today, keep your eye on the sky for storm development.
If the end of your long weekend means a drive home, please stay alert and arrive home safely.
