Beautifully calm weather is ushering the first day of school across the central interior. Expect Convective Thunderstorms to develop this afternoon triggered by a combination of daytime heating, relatively high dew points and strong upper winds.
A small but significant trough will be guided up from the south in the southerly flow around the closed low off the Washington/Oregon coast this afternoon. Wednesday looks a little more stable, then back to a significant afternoon thunderstorm risk again Thursday.
Coastal Low will make a move Friday into Saturday, so expect a good rain early this weekend but Sunday looks seasonal and dry.
