Upper Low over Montana / Southern Alberta, combined with a surface trough running from the Central BC Coast south east to Wyoming will bring rain to most of Southern BC today. Heaviest accumulations will be throughout the interior where Rainfall Warnings and High Streamflow Advisories are in place.
The first day of summer arrives here today at 10:04 pm, but it’ll feel more like early spring with rain and below average daytime highs. There is hope for a brief reprieve late Friday into Sat as a weak upper ridge pushes in from the south west in an attempt to dry things out. It will be short lived however, as the next Upper Low is getting organized off shore and will reach us by Tuesday.
