A weak front will keep high clouds in the forecast this morning with little or no precip in the forecast, and there is a change ahead. After a slow start to summer, many BC areas will see above average temps on Canada Day, and records could be broken as the South Coast will build up to a much warmer trend early next week.
As expected an upper level ridge is building into the Pacific Northwest from the South. This ridge will keep mostly dry weather in the forecast this weekend and as this high continues to strengthen over the interior, an offshore flow will bring warm air out of the inland areas to the Lower Mainland. Sections of Metro Vancouver / Fraser Valley could see highs into the mid thirties for Monday and Tuesday. By midweek we will return to a marine push bringing temps back close to seasonal.
