Today is going to be the wettest day that we have seen in months for the South Coast region. First a warm front will move through and then a cold front will move through right behind it generating a one-two punch moisture laden scenario. Metro Vancouver will see anywhere between 20mm and 40mm over the next day or so, while parts of Vancouver Island and some west slopes could see up to 70mm of rain from today until Friday.
Once this system passes, a ridge starts to build into the Southern portions of BC drying up and warming up the last weekend before all the kids have to go back to school (yay). Sunshine and above seasonal average temps for the weekend.
