First full day of Fall today... (official start of Fall was yesterday at 1:44pm) and we have snow at the peaks of Whistler!!! Will probably see a few more flurries at the top over the next couple days as freezing levels stay below 2000m.
Down at sea level.. showers expected as broad upper level trough maintains an onshore flow over the region giving the South Coast an unsettled weather pattern in our forecast for the first half of the work week and you can expect showers on and off for the Lower Mainland today and tomorrow. However... looking at the current satellite there are some breaks to the west so the showers will ease off this afternoon and many areas across the South Coast will see breaks of sun later today.
Looking ahead - the middle of work week (Wednesday and Thursday) looks to be drier and brighter as the upper trough moves to the east but until then a moist airmass will be in place for most areas across the province.
