Good morning - A very Fall-like weekend ahead with lots of rain in the forecast for the South Coast. The jet stream is helping to bring moisture in all the way from Tropical Storm Pabuk near the Japanese coast on the other side of the Pacific and that subtropical energy will bring significant rain totals from now until early next week.
Rainfall warnings are in place for the Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley and Howe Sound areas as some areas will see 40-75mm of rain on Saturday alone.
As for today, rain will ease off to showers this afternoon when we will be in between two frontal systems. Temperatures will only get up to the low teens.
Also.. heads up travellers: a few of the higher mountain passes will see 2-4cm of snow today...
