June 2020 was cooler and wetter

After a very wet May, June continued to receive an above average amount of precipitation. 

The month of June is typically the wettest month of the year in Kelowna, with an average of 45.9mm of precipitation. June 2020 received 57.0mm at the Kelowna airport weather station - that works out to approximately 24% more than the monthly average amount.

Our daytime high temperatures were also a couple degrees cooler last month than average at the UBCO weather station. June 2020 had an average of 22.1C for afternoon temperatures, compared to the seasonal average of 24.2C.

There was only about a degree difference between overnight lows in June 2020 and its seasonal counterpart. Daily lows in June 2020 averaged at 10.3C, compared to the seasonal average of 9.1C.
